“Always cross the stream to reach water”
Mattias Göransson, media entrepreneur and co-founder of the magazine Filter and Offside, tells us why the smartest thing you can do is to satisfy yourself.
Mattias Göransson earlier wrote for Dagens Nyheter, Dagens Industri and Filmkonst Reportage. 1999 he founded Offside together with Tobias Regnell. For his work at Offside he was awarded with Stora Journalistpriset (A journalist award) in 2002 and in 2008 he founded the reportage magazine Filter where he today is one of the two chief editors.
More and more people start their own business – how does that affect the industry?
The media industry is in transition, the number of freelancers is growing and so is also the competition for jobs. What challenges will freelancers be facing on the increasingly mobile job market? What are the advantages and disadvantages of working for yourself? And if security is the price for freedom, what changes would have to be done to get more people to have the courage to start up their own business?
Panel discussion with: Martin Linder, President of the Unionen. Malin Ekman, a freelance journalist and Svenska Dagbladet’s expert on media topics. Mattias Göransson, media entrepreneur and the founder and editor in Chief of the magazine Filter and Offside.
