Karin Hägglund is one of Sweden’s most renowned practitioners of karate. With five Swedish gold medals and three Nordic Championships, she knows what it takes to reach the very top. But in a sport that requires extreme mental focus, physical strength and a constant strive for perfection also means that your emotions can shift as a roller coaster. From hope and euphoria to anxiety and despair.
As a professional athletes and a national team manager, Karin is used to manage and take advantage of all the emotions that pops up in periods of intense training, tough competitions and in the decisive moments in life. In a world where we are constantly expected to perform, we need tools to be able to take care of our experiences, both positive and negative. We need to be able to turn adversity into success. During this lunch you will learn how you can meet and own your feelings and find the way forward in both positive and negative moments of your life. Among other things, Karin will genuinely and in a very transparent way talk about how she used her knowledge in sports psychology and karate on elite level to deal with and manage the passing of her husband.
