Did you know that more than 1.3 million adults in Sweden are close to someone struggling with mental health or illness? This could include depression, cancer, addiction, dementia, and more.

Many people don’t realize that help and support are available—not just for the person who is struggling, but also for those standing beside them. As a loved one, you may need guidance on how healthcare and support systems work, and sometimes, you might need support for yourself as well.

In this talk, we’ll explore what it means to be close to someone struggling with mental health and how to navigate this in the workplace. For example, does it feel just as acceptable to say that your partner has broken their leg as it does to say that they are experiencing depression?

In addition to gaining deeper knowledge about supporting loved ones, this talk also provides an opportunity to reflect on how your workplace can be more inclusive and supportive of employees navigating personal challenges.

You’re warmly welcome!
